Definition 1:sweetly or smoothly flowing; sweet-sounding: a mellifluous voice; mellifluous tones.
This is how people use the word mellifluous the most. But there's another meaning that is less well-know:
Definition 2: flowing with honey; sweetened with or as if with honey
